Railroad Days Parade

If you happened to catch us during tonight's Railroad Days parade and are new to the site, welcome! This blog was created as a destination for anything related to this summer's production of The Secret Garden. Here you'll find information about reserving tickets, as well as exploring the story in more depth. As rehearsals get underway, you can check back for some behind the scenes photos and commentary featuring our cast. 

You'll also notice in the right hand column that there are a number of ways you can get involved with the show. Good with a pair of scissors? Great! We'd love your help constructing our elaborate paper garden for the stage! Think you might have some costumes or props from the Victorian era that you'd be willing to loan us? Awesome! Keep your eyes peeled for updates to the "Production Wish List" in the coming weeks. We're also looking for various crew members and are happy to continue filling out our chorus. Charlotte's Web Tonight!

Come out tonight to see the St. James Children's Theater production of Charlotte's Web at the St. James High School Little Theater! Charlotte's Web  happened to be one of the first plays I was in as a child, so it'll be a sweet trip down memory lane to see it performed once again on the very same stage. Our own "Mary" and "Colin" from The Secret Garden have parts in Charlotte's Web as well.  So proud of these hard-working young actors!  Catch the show tonight at 7:00pm or tomorrow morning at 10:00am!

Casting Update!

Hello Everyone! 
I'm happy to report that we're finally pushing ahead with rehearsals for The Secret Garden on Monday! We've spent the past week recruiting actors to fill out our cast following the low turn-out at open auditions and are now feeling more optimistic about the production moving forward. THAT SAID, WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF ADULTS AND HIGH SCHOOLERS WHO CAN LEND THEIR SINGING TALENTS!  We have a small handful of roles yet to be cast and we have room in the chorus for folks who are willing to help but are reluctant to take on anything more than background singing. I'm happy to address any questions about scheduling conflicts or explain the roles we need.

It's Not Too Late!

We've still got some parts to fill for The Secret Garden before we can begin rehearsing.  If you missed try-outs earlier in the week but might be interested, contact me at katiewojtalewicz@gmail.com or through our Facebook page to set up a time to audition in the coming week.  I'm also happy to answer any questions you may have before committing.  As long as you're available during the week of performances, we're prepared to work around scheduling conflicts.  It's a great show, but we can't put it on without you!
